Sovereign AI infrastructure for defensible enterprise decisions

Enabling defensible AI decisions at the edge.

The future we believe in:
trust at the data edge

Every important decision should be based on information that can be trusted.

Our ambition is to enable defensible AI decisions at the edge: reading and enriching legacy and dark data where it already sits, without moving it to a centralised cloud.

We do this by delivering transparent, provenance-verified data and defensible AI decisions for business-critical use cases, deployed on-premises, private cloud or air-gapped.

What we
stand for

Trust in data

Every file's authenticity and provenance verified before it's used, not assumed.

Ownership of data

Deployed on-premises, private cloud or air-gapped. Data never leaves your control, even when it's shared.

Our story

Confidios started with a narrower problem: how do you let sensitive data leave your control long enough for someone else to use it, without actually giving up control of it? Including when you don't fully know who's on the other end.

Verified data authenticity before consumption

We solved ownership and safe sharing early. Then we hit the next question: before anyone shares a file, they need to know it's genuine. So we built that too, verifying a file's provenance and authenticity before it moves anywhere, so the person receiving it can trust it hasn't been altered.

AI made the same problem urgent at a different scale. Models and agents need data they can trust, and most enterprise data was never verified in the first place. Sovereign deployment, keeping that verification inside a business's own infrastructure, was what became the Confidios Context Engine.

Matthew Nelson

CEO and Co-Founder

Twenty-five years before Confidios existed, Matthew was already building the exact discipline Confidios sells: constructing risk taxonomies for regulated institutions. He developed data governance frameworks across real estate, structured credit, and institutional investment management at Shinsei Bank, Capco, and PwC. At Grant Thornton, he created Voyanta, the world's first cloud-based, multi-tenant utility for institutional real estate data, now serving 35+ global investors under Altus Analytics. At Confidios, he leads the document forensic risk analysis and the context module and provenance methodology behind the platform.

Sanda Ringsma

COO and Co-Founder

Sanda has spent two decades building brand and go-to-market strategy inside the regulated industries Confidios sells into, financial services, insurance, and asset management, not alongside them. She led brand and marketing strategy for RSA, now part of Intact Financial Corporation, held senior marketing roles at Invesco, American Express, and Defaqto, and took an AI-driven anti-money-laundering scale-up global, leading its expansion through partnerships with the American Bankers Association and IBM, later acquired by growth investor Warburg Pincus. At Confidios, she runs operations and go-to-market strategy.

Rupesh Raikundalia

CTO

Board-level architecture decisions at Lloyd's of London do not go to generalists. For two decades, Rupesh was that choice, serving as Lead Architect to boards and CIOs of Lloyd's underwriters and brokers while architecting secure, compliant systems across insurance, financial services, and defence. He was board-level contact for Industry Personnel Security Assurance with the Ministry of Defence, and separately transformed a legacy banking start-up into a multi-tenant digital banking platform serving building societies, credit unions, and financial advisers. At Confidios, he leads platform architecture and data sovereignty.
